Monique grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was always steered by her creativity and curiosity. Nevarez played soccer through out her youth leading to her playing collegiate soccer through out her college journey. She enjoyed playing outdoors with her friends and going on new adventures. Building and creating things out of recycled material later evolved into her love for art. Monique holds family close and enjoys spending time with loved ones. Her love for animals is prominent and she has been notorious for bringing home pets. Nevarez hopes that one day she can share her love and imagination with others through her art and business ventures.
Monique Nevarez attended New Mexico Highlands University graduating with a Bachelors of Fine Art with an emphasis in Ceramics and a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. Nevarez completed both degrees earning high honors of Magna Cum Laude. Her ambition lead her to being in high standing while also competing on the NMHU Women's Soccer team in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, for 5 continuous seasons. Additionally, Nevarez represented the NMHU Art Department when she was chosen to join the International Research Experience for Student's cohort to Czechia. There she completed a 6 week residency along with 3 other students as an illustrator for geological data collection. Monique Nevarez was a double major, student athlete, and honor student, who proudly represented NMHU and the Las Vegas, NM community.
